R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Timothy S. Angermann retired as chief of the
  Lampasas Police Department on January 4, 2017, drawing to a close an
  outstanding tenure in law enforcement that spanned more than 43
  years; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan began his career at the age of
  17, when he took a job as a dispatcher with the Lampasas Police
  Department; dedicated to protecting and serving his fellow
  citizens, he attended the police academy at age 18 and became a
  Lampasas police officer in May 1975; and
         WHEREAS, In 1981, Mr. Angermann left LPD to join the Lampasas
  County Sheriff's Office, where he was assigned to the Central Texas
  Narcotics Task Force as an investigator and chief deputy; he
  returned to the Lampasas Police Department in 1993, taking on the
  roles of criminal investigator and assistant chief of police, and
  in 1998, he was appointed chief of police, a position he held until
  his retirement; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Chief Angermann has enjoyed
  the love and support of his wife, Sabrina, and in retirement, the
  couple plan to travel and to spend more time with their daughter and
  grandson; Mr. Angermann will also continue to enjoy his hobbies,
  which include shooting skeet and watching University of Mary
  Hardin-Baylor and Washington Redskins football games; and
         WHEREAS, Timothy Angermann's commitment to the highest
  standards of his profession greatly benefited the residents of
  Lampasas County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on the
  invaluable contributions he made during his more than four decades
  in law enforcement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Timothy S. Angermann on his
  retirement as chief of the Lampasas Police Department and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for continued happiness and fulfillment as
  he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Angermann as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
