R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, In May 2017, Bailey Hall of Mount Pleasant is |
|
graduating from Chapel Hill High School with honors and a |
|
distinguished level of achievement while also earning an associate |
|
degree in accounting from Northeast Texas Community College; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Hall earned her associate degree while still in |
|
high school by taking as many as 19 hours of coursework per semester |
|
and attending classes during the summer and between semesters; and |
|
WHEREAS, Currently vice president of her senior class and the |
|
student council, Ms. Hall also serves as secretary of her school's |
|
National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America |
|
chapters and as a member of FFA, the Spanish Club, and the IDEA |
|
program; she has excelled in UIL programs, including debate, |
|
extemporaneous speaking, and theater, and she has been a valued |
|
member of her school's varsity cheerleading and softball teams; her |
|
achievements have been recognized with the Young Women in Public |
|
Affairs Award from Zonta and the Rotary Youth Leadership Award; and |
|
WHEREAS, An active member of First Baptist Church in Mount |
|
Pleasant, Ms. Hall has participated in missions with World Changers |
|
and MissionFuge; she has also led summer activities for children at |
|
a women's shelter and tutored through the Titus County Reads |
|
program; and |
|
WHEREAS, Bailey Hall's boundless energy, exceptional |
|
scholastic ability, and commitment to excellence have opened the |
|
way to a bright and promising future for this outstanding young |
|
Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Bailey Hall on her graduation from |
|
Chapel Hill High School and Northeast Texas Community College and |
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Hall as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
