R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Bill and Kay McNutt of |
|
|
Mount Pleasant celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage |
|
|
on March 11, 2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McNutt were joined in matrimony in 1967 |
|
|
in Mount Pleasant; they became the parents of three children, |
|
|
Michael, Jeff, and the late David McNutt, and today their family |
|
|
includes three daughters-in-law, Rhonda, Casey, and Linda, as well |
|
|
as three grandchildren, Morgan, Leslie, and Dustin, three |
|
|
step-grandchildren, Dustin, Kayli, and Clint, and three |
|
|
great-grandchildren, Contessa, Addisyn, and Kayden; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Bill McNutt is |
|
|
retired from Alstom Power of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Judge Kay |
|
|
McNutt has served the citizens of Titus County as justice of the |
|
|
peace for the past 18 years; they have also been active in the First |
|
|
Baptist Church congregation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McNutt have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Bill and Kay McNutt on their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
