R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Luis Miguel Del Valle on February 8, 2017, at the age of
  76; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Del Valle was born on March 7, 1940, in Santa
  Clara, Cuba, and lived there until the age of 22, when he and his
  wife, Carmen, fled the island with their son for the United States;
  after making their home in Dallas for a number of years, the family
  relocated in 1973 to the Carrollton-Farmers Branch area, where
  Mr. Del Valle embarked on a successful career with the Goodyear
  Tire and Rubber Company that spanned three decades; he went on to
  serve as director of logistics for Kauffman Tire before retiring in
  2012; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of their 54 years of marriage,
  Mr. and Mrs. Del Valle were blessed with three children, Mike,
  Rick, and Mary, and as time passed, they had the pleasure of seeing
  their family grow to include five grandchildren, Heather, Will,
  Thomas, Wes, and Warren, and two great-grandchildren, Isabella and
  Derek; and
         WHEREAS, Strong in his faith, Mr. Del Valle was a longtime
  congregant of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, and he served his
  community as a member of Friends of the Branch; in retirement, he
  enjoyed going on cruises, taking trips to Branson, Missouri, and
  watching his grandsons play football for Bishop Lynch High School;
  and
         WHEREAS, Luis Del Valle's passing has brought great sadness
  to his family and many friends, but he has left them with a
  multitude of cherished memories, and he will forever hold a special
  place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Luis Miguel Del Valle
  and extend sincere condolences to all those who mourn his passing;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Luis Del
  Valle.
