R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at
  the untimely death of Angelica P. Beard of Mount Pleasant, who
  passed away on March 24, 2017, at the age of 30; and
         WHEREAS, Born at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North
  Carolina, on April 10, 1986, the former Angelica Reed was the
  daughter of Troy and Vivianna DeCohen; as a student at A. Philip
  Randolph Campus High School in New York City, she was a star athlete
  on the track team, and she went on to graduate from Southwestern
  Christian College in Terrell and Texas A&M University--Commerce;
  she realized one of her life's goals when she was hired to coach the
  girls' track team at Mt. Pleasant High School, and at the time of
  her passing, she was also employed as a physical education teacher
  at Corprew Elementary; and
         WHEREAS, A member of Zeta Phi Beta in college, Ms. Beard
  remained active in the sorority after her graduation and cherished
  the bonds that she shared with her fellow alumnae; deeply committed
  to her faith, she was also a valued member of the Sheppard Street
  Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant; and
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Beard enjoyed the love and
  support of her husband, Anterius Beard; the couple became the
  devoted parents of twin boys, Terrance and Terrelle, and she also
  happily welcomed into her family Mr. Beard's two children, Anterius
  and Paris; and
         WHEREAS, Although the loss of this cherished wife, mother,
  and daughter brings tremendous heartache to her loved ones, they
  will forever remember the kindness, joy, and laughter that she
  brought into their lives; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Angelica P. Beard
  and extend deepest condolences to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Anterius D. Beard Sr.; to her children, Terrance,
  Terrelle, Anterius, and Paris Beard; to her parents, Vivianna and
  Troy DeCohen; to her siblings, Chanelle Thomas and her husband,
  Charles, Micaela DeCohen, and Christopher Reed and his wife,
  Paulina; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Angelica
  Beard.
