R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
|
of Linda Marcia Howerton of Cypress, who passed away on March 16, |
|
|
2017, at the age of 66; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Reuben and Marion Luttinen, the |
|
|
former Lyn Luttinen was born on November 1, 1950, in Mount Clemens, |
|
|
Michigan, and grew up with the companionship of her sister and |
|
|
three brothers; after moving to Texas as a young woman, she wed Guy |
|
|
Howerton on March 18, 1978, and they shared a rewarding union that |
|
|
spanned nearly four decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although she had served as an undercover detective |
|
|
during the 1970s, Mrs. Howerton devoted most of her life to caring |
|
|
for her home and raising her three beloved children, Krysten, |
|
|
Jason, and Matthew; in her leisure hours, she enjoyed playing pool |
|
|
and earned a reputation as one of the best billiards players around; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Lyn Howerton led a life that was rich in the |
|
|
intangibles that matter most, and she is deeply missed by all who |
|
|
held her dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Linda Marcia |
|
|
Howerton and extend deepest condolences to her relatives and |
|
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lyn |
|
|
Howerton. |
