R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, On April 4, 2017, students from Fredericksburg High
  School revealed their newly completed Casa Über Alles tiny house;
  and
         WHEREAS, Under the leadership of their teacher, Roger Condra,
  students from the school's advanced construction technology course
  engineered the 576-square-foot structure as a way to gain valuable
  hands-on experience in the building trades; along the way, they
  were guided by mentors from the Wine Country Division of the Hill
  Country Builders Association, who partnered with the class on this
  notable project; and
         WHEREAS, The single-story dwelling, which students began
  building in September 2016, includes one bedroom and one bathroom,
  as well as a porch; it features a modern architectural style and was
  crafted using contemporary materials; equipped with appliances and
  completely finished, the structure is being auctioned off, and the
  proceeds from the sale will benefit the building trades program;
  and
         WHEREAS, In constructing Casa Über Alles, these talented
  students have developed a range of skills and demonstrated both
  dedication and ingenuity, and they can indeed take pride in a job
  well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend the Fredericksburg High School
  construction students on their work in building the Casa Über Alles
  tiny house and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the class as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
