R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Ken Pool of Dougherty has invented Conflict, a new
  board game based on the American Civil War; and
         WHEREAS, The object of the game is for players to correctly
  answer trivia questions from six categories covering such topics as
  battles, weapons, officers, and units, as well as the Confederacy
  and the Union; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime Civil War buff, Mr. Pool first became
  interested in the subject at an early age, when he and his family
  visited a number of historic sites from the War Between the States
  in commemoration of its centennial; in addition to studying the
  struggle, he enjoys collecting artifacts from the era; and
         WHEREAS, Ken Pool has created an engaging way of learning
  more about one of the most consequential periods in our nation's
  history, and he is indeed worthy of recognition for this
  outstanding achievement; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ken Pool on his invention of the
  board game Conflict and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Pool as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
