R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Carl Seal of Cottle County has received a 50-year
  service award from the Scottish Rite Valley of Lubbock, and this
  achievement indeed merits special recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Seal was honored during a special ceremony
  attended by a number of guests, including his wife, Linda Seal; this
  prestigious award was presented to him by Doug Adkins, the
  Sovereign Grand Inspector General of the Supreme Council in Texas;
  and
         WHEREAS, Members of the Scottish Rite work to improve the
  quality of life in their communities by teaching and emulating the
  principles of brotherly love, tolerance, charity, and truth; and
         WHEREAS, For the past half century, Mr. Seal has exemplified
  the ideals of the Scottish Rite, and it is indeed a pleasure to join
  in recognizing him for this remarkable accomplishment; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Carl Seal on his receipt of a
  50-year service award from the Scottish Rite Valley of Lubbock and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Seal as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
