R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by |
|
|
only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by |
|
|
Kody Hermes of Lindsay heralds a future bright with opportunity and |
|
|
promise; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has mastered a number of |
|
|
important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has |
|
|
earned 35 merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as |
|
|
first aid, personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has |
|
|
gained experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking his |
|
|
Eagle Scout project, which involved constructing a dog run at |
|
|
Noah's Ark Animal Shelter in Gainesville; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Kurt and Amy Hermes, Mr. Hermes is |
|
|
currently a junior at Lindsay High School; he hopes to study |
|
|
engineering in college; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |
|
|
attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Kody Hermes has demonstrated an |
|
|
unwavering commitment to the Boy Scouts organization and its |
|
|
ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the |
|
|
way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kody Hermes on achieving the rank |
|
|
of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Hermes as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
