R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Carolyn Ramirez of Ortiz Intermediate School has |
|
|
been named a 2016-2017 Secondary Teacher of the Year finalist in the |
|
|
Robstown Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A physical education teacher at Ortiz Intermediate |
|
|
School, Ms. Ramirez has been an educator for more than three |
|
|
decades; during her 12-year tenure with Robstown ISD, she helped |
|
|
establish the Runners Club, which has since grown to include over |
|
|
200 members; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Carolyn Ramirez exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Carolyn Ramirez on her selection as |
|
|
a 2016-2017 Secondary Teacher of the Year finalist in the Robstown |
|
|
Independent School District and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success with her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ramirez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
