R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Roxana Ybarra of Robert Driscoll Elementary School |
|
|
has been named a finalist for the 2016-2017 Elementary Teacher of |
|
|
the Year award in the Robstown Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining Robstown ISD in 1999, Ms. Ybarra has |
|
|
worked with five grade levels at three different campuses, and she |
|
|
was designated the Robstown ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year and |
|
|
the San Pedro Elementary Teacher of the Year for 2008-2009; she |
|
|
currently teaches bilingual math and science to second and third |
|
|
grade students at Driscoll Elementary; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Roxana Ybarra exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Roxana Ybarra on her selection as a |
|
|
finalist for the 2016-2017 Elementary Teacher of the Year award in |
|
|
the Robstown Independent School District and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ybarra as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
