R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Blake's Snow Shack is marking its first anniversary
  in May 2017, and this occasion offers a fitting opportunity to
  recognize its founder, Blake Pyron; and
         WHEREAS, The snow cone stand has enjoyed considerable success
  in its year of operation, with long lines of customers waiting their
  turn for Mr. Pyron's signature flavored ices; this notable Texan
  was just 19 years old when the shop sold its first cone, making him
  the youngest business owner in Sanger and the only business owner
  with Down syndrome in the state; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Pyron has also distinguished himself through
  his receipt of the 2015 Ethan Saylor Memorial Scholarship, an award
  that recognizes individuals with Down syndrome who have shown great
  drive and resourcefulness in the pursuit of their dreams; seeking
  to provide assistance to other aspiring entrepreneurs living with
  Down syndrome, Mr. Pyron and his family have created the Blake
  Pyron Entrepreneurship Scholarship, which is administered through
  the National Down Syndrome Society #DSWORKS program; and
         WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses play an
  important role in furthering the economic well-being of towns
  throughout the Lone Star State, and Blake Pyron may indeed take
  great pride in the contributions his company has made to the Sanger
  community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Blake Pyron on the anniversary of the
  opening of his business, Blake's Snow Shack, and extend to all those
  involved with the enterprise sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Pyron as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
