R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses play an
  essential role in the prosperity of the Lone Star State, and those
  enterprises that build a record of dependability and longevity are
  indeed deserving of recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Sno-Cup was established in June 1980 by the late
  Victor and Maria Valadez, and today, the iconic Robstown restaurant
  is operated by their son, Victor Valadez Jr.; a member of the
  Sno-Cup team for nearly three decades, he is continuing the
  tradition of excellence established by his parents with the help of
  his six employees; and
         WHEREAS, Located at the corner of Main Street and Western
  Avenue, Sno-Cup has developed a loyal following with its shaved
  ice, which comes in a variety of fruit flavors, as well as with
  lunch and dinner items ranging from Mexican food to hamburgers and
  fries; and
         WHEREAS, By creating jobs and helping to strengthen the
  economic environment of Robstown, Sno-Cup is contributing to the
  vitality of that community, and Victor Valadez Jr. and his staff may
  indeed take pride in this beloved local eatery; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Sno-Cup as a longtime Robstown business
  and extend to all those associated with the restaurant sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Sno-Cup as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
