R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A life lived with joy and enthusiasm drew to a close |
|
on September 23, 2016, with the untimely passing of Michael |
|
Anderson Wood of Waco at the age of 37; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Randy and Edna Wood, Michael Wood was born |
|
in Fort Worth on May 8, 1979, and he grew up in Oklahoma and Waco; |
|
after graduating from Midway High School, he attended Baylor |
|
University and went on to embark on a rewarding career with 1st |
|
University Credit Union, where he advanced to the role of senior |
|
loan officer; and |
|
WHEREAS, In 2008, Mr. Wood married the love of his life and |
|
his best friend, the former Karmen Godfrey; in his free time, he |
|
could often be found playing golf, cheering on the Baylor football |
|
team, hunting, or traveling; above all, he relished the company of |
|
his family and friends; and |
|
WHEREAS, Michael Wood was known for his warm personality, |
|
infectious sense of humor, and zest for life, and although he is |
|
deeply missed, he will forever hold a treasured place in the hearts |
|
of all those who were fortunate enough to know him; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Michael Wood and |
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
wife, Karmen Godfrey Wood; to his parents, Randy and Edna Wood; to |
|
his sister, Lindsey Wood; to his grandmother, Ardeena Wood; and to |
|
his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Michael |
|
Wood. |
