R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Alfredo V. Garza of Corpus Christi on April 15, 2017, at |
|
the age of 73; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born to Dolores and Sandalio Garza on February 11, |
|
1944, Fred Garza spent his formative years in the company of his |
|
siblings, Juan, Sandalio, Ruben, Angelina, Jose, and Carmen; he |
|
served his country proudly as a member of the U.S. Army during the |
|
Vietnam War, and he went on to enjoy a rewarding career as a |
|
printer, working at H-E-B for more than a decade and in the City of |
|
Corpus Christi print shop for another quarter century; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Garza shared 49 years of marriage with his |
|
devoted wife, Gloria, and he took great delight in spending time |
|
with his daughter, Joanne, and his grandson, Ryan; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Fred Garza is greatly missed, this esteemed |
|
Texan has left his loved ones with many cherished memories, and he |
|
will forever hold a special place in their hearts; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Alfredo V. Garza and |
|
extend sincere condolences to his relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Fred Garza. |
