R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, David Spiller of Jacksboro has been elected as a
  Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation
  supports nonprofit organizations that offer justice-related
  programs and services in the Lone Star State; each year, the
  foundation invites only a small percentage of state bar members to
  become Fellows, based on the nominees' professional
  accomplishments, their dedication to the community at large, and
  their commitment to the law and to the cause of justice; and
         WHEREAS, A fitting recipient of this prestigious honor,
  Mr. Spiller practices law with his son, Mason Spiller, at the
  family firm Spiller & Spiller; in addition, he has served as
  Jacksboro city attorney for the past three decades and as general
  counsel to the Jack County Hospital District for 27 years; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout his remarkable career, David Spiller has
  upheld the highest standards of the legal profession, and he may
  indeed reflect with pride on his outstanding record of achievement;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate David Spiller on his election to
  the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Spiller as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
