R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kelsey Pierce, a sophomore at Tuloso-Midway High |
|
|
School, distinguished herself with her performance at the 2017 |
|
|
University Interscholastic League Region 4-5A Academics Spring |
|
|
Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of her coach, speech and |
|
|
debate teacher Tasha Kneis, Ms. Pierce captured first place in the |
|
|
prose interpretation contest with a total of 15 points; her |
|
|
impressive win has secured her spot in the 2017 Academic State Meet |
|
|
in Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With her efforts in the UIL regional competition, |
|
|
this bright young Texan has proudly represented Tuloso-Midway High |
|
|
School, and the dedication she has demonstrated is sure to serve her |
|
|
well in the years ahead; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kelsey Pierce on her participation |
|
|
in the 2017 UIL Region 4-5A Academics Spring Meet and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Pierce as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
