R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Steve Covarrubias Jr., a student at Robstown Early |
|
|
College High School, was recognized as a recipient of the Education |
|
|
to Employment Partners Scholarship at the annual E2E meeting on |
|
|
April 19, 2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To be eligible for this scholarship, students must |
|
|
be enrolled in a member school district, and honorees are selected |
|
|
based on the strength of their application and on a personal |
|
|
statement describing their goals for the future; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, After graduating from high school, this outstanding |
|
|
young Texan plans to continue his education at Texas A&M |
|
|
University--Kingsville, where he will study chemical engineering; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A fitting recipient of this notable honor, Steve |
|
|
Covarrubias Jr. has demonstrated determination and perseverance in |
|
|
the pursuit of his goals, and he may indeed look forward to a future |
|
|
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Steve Covarrubias Jr. on his |
|
|
receipt of a 2017 Education to Employment Partners Scholarship and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Covarrubias as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
