R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jason Rodriguez has been presented with a Key Spouse |
|
|
Award by the TRIO Islanders Organization at Texas A&M |
|
|
University--Corpus Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The TRIO Islanders Organization is part of the |
|
|
university's Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) |
|
|
initiative, which furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing |
|
|
resources to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented |
|
|
students; in receiving a Key Spouse Award, Mr. Rodriguez was |
|
|
recognized for going above and beyond in showing support for his |
|
|
wife, June Rodriguez, who currently serves as president-elect of |
|
|
the organization; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Rodriguez enjoys a fulfilling career as an |
|
|
aircraft mechanic at the Corpus Christi Army Depot; in addition, he |
|
|
has volunteered his time in behalf of numerous community service |
|
|
projects coordinated by TRIO Islanders; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jason Rodriguez has encouraged and tirelessly |
|
|
supported his wife in all her endeavors and in so doing graciously |
|
|
contributed to the worthwhile mission of the TRIO Islanders |
|
|
Organization, and he is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jason Rodriguez on his receipt of a |
|
|
TRIO Islanders Organization Key Spouse Award and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
