R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The tragic death of Harrison Brown of Graham on May
  1, 2017, at the age of 19, has immeasurably saddened the family,
  friends, and fellow students of this talented and beloved young
  man; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Graham, Harrison Brown was the son of
  Dr. Kurt Brown and Lori Brown, and he grew up with the companionship
  of his brother, John; he graduated in 2016 from Graham High School,
  where he frequently made the honor roll while also participating in
  track, cross-country, theater, and the student council; his deepest
  passion, however, was his love for music, and during his years at
  Graham High, he performed in the choir and the Rompin' Stompin' Big
  Blue Band, winning admiration for his beautiful voice and his skill
  in playing numerous instruments; in his senior year, he received
  more than a dozen scholarships to support his college studies; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Brown enrolled as a freshman at The University
  of Texas at Austin in the fall of 2016, and he was an enthusiastic
  Longhorn who wore his burnt orange with pride; he joined a
  fraternity and an a capella singing group on the campus, and he
  often brought smiles to his fellow residents at Jester East
  dormitory by singing in the halls and stairwells; his innate sense
  of joy and optimism won him the affection of many friends, and he
  had a remarkable way of lifting the spirits of everyone around him
  as well; and
         WHEREAS, Although his days were far too few, Harrison Brown
  will forever be remembered for the warmth, kindness, and laughter
  that he shared so freely with others; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Harrison Brown and
  extend deepest condolences to his loved ones and to all who mourn
  his passing; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Harrison
  Brown.
