R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Katherine Munal has ably served her fellow Texans as
  chief of staff in the office of State Representative Scott Sanford
  during the 83rd, 84th, and 85th Legislatures; and
         WHEREAS, In her role as chief of staff, Ms. Munal has played
  an important part in facilitating Representative Sanford's work in
  state government; she has provided vital leadership to ensure the
  efficient operation of the representative's office while handling a
  wide variety of challenging tasks, including overseeing
  legislation and organizing special events and initiatives, such as
  the Texas Prayer Breakfast for the 84th and 85th Sessions; and
         WHEREAS, Before joining Representative Sanford's office,
  Ms. Munal held a number of other positions with the Texas
  Legislature, including chief of staff for Representative Jim
  Landtroop, legislative aide and correspondence coordinator for the
  Texas Senate, and legislative aide for Senator Craig Estes; in
  recognition of her commitment to excellence, she was named the Best
  Chief of Staff for the Texas House of Representatives and nominated
  for Best All-Around Veteran Staffer at the 2015 Capitol Crowd
  Awards; she holds a bachelor's degree in government from The
  University of Texas at Austin, and in 2009 she studied
  international government and globalization at Richmond, the
  American International University in London; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her
  duties as chief of staff with skill and dedication, and she is
  indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Katherine Munal for her service as chief
  of staff in the office of State Representative Scott Sanford and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Munal as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
