R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Katherine Munal has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
|
chief of staff in the office of State Representative Scott Sanford |
|
|
during the 83rd, 84th, and 85th Legislatures; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In her role as chief of staff, Ms. Munal has played |
|
|
an important part in facilitating Representative Sanford's work in |
|
|
state government; she has provided vital leadership to ensure the |
|
|
efficient operation of the representative's office while handling a |
|
|
wide variety of challenging tasks, including overseeing |
|
|
legislation and organizing special events and initiatives, such as |
|
|
the Texas Prayer Breakfast for the 84th and 85th Sessions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Before joining Representative Sanford's office, |
|
|
Ms. Munal held a number of other positions with the Texas |
|
|
Legislature, including chief of staff for Representative Jim |
|
|
Landtroop, legislative aide and correspondence coordinator for the |
|
|
Texas Senate, and legislative aide for Senator Craig Estes; in |
|
|
recognition of her commitment to excellence, she was named the Best |
|
|
Chief of Staff for the Texas House of Representatives and nominated |
|
|
for Best All-Around Veteran Staffer at the 2015 Capitol Crowd |
|
|
Awards; she holds a bachelor's degree in government from The |
|
|
University of Texas at Austin, and in 2009 she studied |
|
|
international government and globalization at Richmond, the |
|
|
American International University in London; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her |
|
|
duties as chief of staff with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Katherine Munal for her service as chief |
|
|
of staff in the office of State Representative Scott Sanford and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Munal as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
