R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth hosted its first
  all-school reunion on March 31, 2017, to coincide with the 50th
  anniversary of its first graduating class; and
         WHEREAS, Originally called the Texas Boys' Choir School, the
  school was founded by George Bragg and Stephen Seleny in 1959 as a
  place for members of the choir to rehearse as well as to receive an
  education; it was renamed Trinity Valley School in 1962, and in
  1967, 13 young men graduated as part of its inaugural class; and
         WHEREAS, Over the years, the school's enrollment continued to
  increase, and in 1971, girls were admitted for the first time;
  today, almost 1,000 students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  attend the independent college-preparatory institution, which
  moved to its current 74-acre campus on Dutch Branch Road in
  southwest Fort Worth after outgrowing three previous facilities;
  and
         WHEREAS, For more than half a century, Trinity Valley School
  in Fort Worth has been dedicated to helping young Texans reach their
  full potential and become engaged and productive members of their
  community, and it is indeed fitting to recognize this fine
  institution as it marks this significant milestone; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first
  graduating class of Trinity Valley School and extend to everyone
  associated with the school sincere best wishes for the future; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
