R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Caleb Clemmons has been presented with a Rising Star
  Award from the TRIO Islanders Organization at Texas A&M
  University--Corpus Christi; and
         WHEREAS, The TRIO Islanders Organization is part of the
  university's Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS)
  initiative, which furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing
  resources to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented
  students; in receiving a Rising Star Award, Caleb was recognized
  for excelling both in and outside the classroom in all his
  endeavors; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Kianna Sills, this ambitious
  nine-year-old is on the Green Team at school, and his favorite
  subjects are history and science; he would like to earn a degree in
  kinesiology and one day run his own company; and
         WHEREAS, Caleb Clemmons is indeed deserving of this
  prestigious honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with
  promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Caleb Clemmons on his receipt of a
  TRIO Islanders Organization Rising Star Award and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Caleb as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
