R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Caleb Clemmons has been presented with a Rising Star |
|
|
Award from the TRIO Islanders Organization at Texas A&M |
|
|
University--Corpus Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The TRIO Islanders Organization is part of the |
|
|
university's Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) |
|
|
initiative, which furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing |
|
|
resources to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented |
|
|
students; in receiving a Rising Star Award, Caleb was recognized |
|
|
for excelling both in and outside the classroom in all his |
|
|
endeavors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Kianna Sills, this ambitious |
|
|
nine-year-old is on the Green Team at school, and his favorite |
|
|
subjects are history and science; he would like to earn a degree in |
|
|
kinesiology and one day run his own company; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Caleb Clemmons is indeed deserving of this |
|
|
prestigious honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Caleb Clemmons on his receipt of a |
|
|
TRIO Islanders Organization Rising Star Award and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Caleb as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
