R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Harmony-Soleil Clemmons has been presented with a |
|
Rising Star Award from the TRIO Islanders Organization at Texas A&M |
|
University--Corpus Christi; and |
|
WHEREAS, The TRIO Islanders Organization is part of the |
|
university's Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) |
|
initiative, which furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing |
|
resources to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented |
|
students; in receiving a Rising Star Award, Harmony-Soleil was |
|
recognized for excelling both in and outside the classroom in all |
|
her endeavors; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Kianna Sills, Harmony-Soleil is a |
|
first grader at Smith Elementary School, where she is on the AB |
|
honor roll; she is also a Daisy in her Girl Scout troop, and she |
|
wants to be a large animal veterinarian when she grows up; and |
|
WHEREAS, Harmony-Soleil Clemmons is indeed deserving of this |
|
prestigious honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with |
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Harmony-Soleil Clemmons on her |
|
receipt of a TRIO Islanders Organization Rising Star Award and |
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Harmony-Soleil as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
