R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Trent Harris has been presented with an Outstanding |
|
|
Award from the Student Support Services program at Texas A&M |
|
|
University--Corpus Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Student Support Services is part of the university's |
|
|
Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which |
|
|
furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to |
|
|
low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students; in |
|
|
receiving an Outstanding Award, Trent Harris was recognized for his |
|
|
notable academic achievements; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Rockport, Mr. Harris is a senior at |
|
|
TAMU--CC, where he is completing the requirements for a bachelor's |
|
|
degree in biology; after graduation, he plans to pursue a career |
|
|
working with animals; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Trent Harris is indeed deserving of this prestigious |
|
|
honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with promise; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Trent Harris on his receipt of a |
|
|
Student Support Services Outstanding Award and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Harris as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
