R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Aissa Garza has been presented with an Outstanding |
|
|
Award from the Project GRAD program at Texas A&M University--Corpus |
|
|
Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Project GRAD is part of the university's Programs |
|
|
for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the |
|
|
goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income, |
|
|
first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving an |
|
|
Outstanding Award, Ms. Garza was recognized for her record of |
|
|
academic excellence; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A freshman at TAMU--CC, this notable young Texan is |
|
|
pursuing a degree in nursing; she has contributed to the university |
|
|
community as a New Student Orientation leader, and she is |
|
|
participating in the Project GRAD Summer Prep Academy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Aissa Garza is indeed deserving of this prestigious |
|
|
honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with promise; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Aissa Garza on her receipt of a |
|
|
Project GRAD Outstanding Award and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
