R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of Allen W. Duhr of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, on May 6, 2017, at
  the age of 78; and
         WHEREAS, Born and raised in Richland Center, Wisconsin, Al
  Duhr was a 1956 graduate of Richland Center High School, where he
  excelled academically and distinguished himself as a three-sport
  athlete; his achievements earned him induction into the school's
  Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009; and
         WHEREAS, After graduation, Mr. Duhr received a bachelor's
  degree from the University of Wisconsin--Madison and an advanced
  degree from Marquette University; he also answered his nation's
  call to duty and served from January 1962 to November 1963 in the
  United States Army; and
         WHEREAS, In 1969, Mr. Duhr cofounded a concrete pumping
  supply business, Construction Forms Inc., and he enjoyed a
  rewarding career there that spanned nearly three decades, until he
  and his partners sold the company in 1996; following his
  retirement, he relished spending more time with loved ones, and he
  and his wife, Peggy, began to exchange the bracing winters of
  Wisconsin for the balmier ones of Bradenton, Florida; over the
  years, he was also a dedicated advocate for numerous worthwhile
  organizations, which he supported through the Duhr Family
  Foundation; and
         WHEREAS, Although Al Duhr will be deeply missed, those
  fortunate enough to have known him will remember the way he touched
  their lives with his kindness and generosity, and he will forever
  hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Allen W. Duhr and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family:  to his
  wife, Peggy Duhr; to his children, Paul, Kim, Susan, Stephen, Lisa,
  Kellie, David, and Sarah; to his grandchildren, Cassidy, Lindsay,
  Carrie, Sarah, and Naomi; and to all who mourn his passing; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas House
  of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Al Duhr.
