R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Charles
  Hamilton of DeSoto, who passed away on May 10, 2017, at the age of
  71; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Clarine Alford and Charles Elvis Roberts,
  Charles Hamilton was born in Dallas on October 24, 1945; he served
  his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hamilton and his wife, Barbara, were married in
  1964; he was the devoted father of three children, Natalie Hamilton
  Miller, Charles Elvis Hamilton Jr., and the late Angela Hamilton;
  with the passing years, he experienced the joy of welcoming into his
  family three beloved grandchildren, Trenton Charles Duffie, Xavier
  Miller, and Zachary Miller; and
         WHEREAS, For 25 years, Mr. Hamilton was employed by the
  Vandenberg Company; he was also a valued member of Cedar Hill Church
  of Christ; in his free time, he enjoyed fishing, and he was very
  fond of music, especially soul music; and
         WHEREAS, Although Charles Hamilton will be deeply missed, he
  has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories that they
  will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Charles Hamilton and
  extend deepest condolences to his loved ones; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Charles
  Hamilton.
