R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Charles |
|
|
Hamilton of DeSoto, who passed away on May 10, 2017, at the age of |
|
|
71; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Clarine Alford and Charles Elvis Roberts, |
|
|
Charles Hamilton was born in Dallas on October 24, 1945; he served |
|
|
his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hamilton and his wife, Barbara, were married in |
|
|
1964; he was the devoted father of three children, Natalie Hamilton |
|
|
Miller, Charles Elvis Hamilton Jr., and the late Angela Hamilton; |
|
|
with the passing years, he experienced the joy of welcoming into his |
|
|
family three beloved grandchildren, Trenton Charles Duffie, Xavier |
|
|
Miller, and Zachary Miller; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For 25 years, Mr. Hamilton was employed by the |
|
|
Vandenberg Company; he was also a valued member of Cedar Hill Church |
|
|
of Christ; in his free time, he enjoyed fishing, and he was very |
|
|
fond of music, especially soul music; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although Charles Hamilton will be deeply missed, he |
|
|
has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories that they |
|
|
will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Charles Hamilton and |
|
|
extend deepest condolences to his loved ones; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Charles |
|
|
Hamilton. |
