R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, During the 85th Legislative Session, Tera M. Coffey
  has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of
  State Representative Yvonne Davis through the Texas Legislative
  Internship Program; and
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by State Senator Rodney Ellis, TLIP was
  established in 1990 and is administered by the Mickey Leland Center
  on Hunger, Poverty, and World Peace at Texas Southern University;
  the program provides a unique opportunity for outstanding young men
  and women to serve as interns in the Texas Legislature, in state
  agencies, and in local government offices; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff of Representative Davis,
  Ms. Coffey has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety
  of challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in
  the field of public service, she has learned more about the
  legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star
  State; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Coffey is an alumna of Franklin University in
  Switzerland, where she studied international economics and
  international relations, and she has previously worked as a field
  organizer and regional field director for Terra Strategies; she has
  also completed internships with Children at Risk, the Sylvester
  Turner mayoral campaign, and the office of the mayor of Houston; and
         WHEREAS, Tera Coffey has performed her duties as a
  legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Tera M. Coffey for her service in the
  office of State Representative Yvonne Davis as a participant in the
  Texas Legislative Internship Program and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Coffey as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
