R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Kingdom Council of Interdependent Christian |
|
|
Churches and Ministries is marking its 25th anniversary in 2017, |
|
|
and this occasion provides a fitting opportunity to honor this |
|
|
notable organization; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded by the husband and wife team of Bishop David |
|
|
M. Copeland and the Reverend Dr. Claudette A. Copeland, the council |
|
|
is an international, interdenominational fellowship of churches |
|
|
and clergy dedicated to cultivating spiritual leaders, fostering |
|
|
vital ministries, and strengthening families; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While working to share and preserve biblical |
|
|
traditions and teachings, the Kingdom Council seeks to advance both |
|
|
the internal development and the outreach efforts of its religious |
|
|
community; the organization benefits from the expert leadership of |
|
|
Bishop Copeland, who also serves as senior pastor of the New |
|
|
Creation Christian Fellowship in San Antonio; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the past quarter century, the Kingdom Council |
|
|
has empowered Christian leaders to make a positive difference in |
|
|
the lives of countless individuals and families in the United |
|
|
States and beyond, and its members are indeed deserving of special |
|
|
recognition as they celebrate this important milestone in the |
|
|
history of their organization; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Kingdom |
|
|
Council of Interdependent Christian Churches and Ministries and |
|
|
extend to all those associated with the council sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
