R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Nneka Ukegbu has been presented with an Outstanding |
|
|
Award from the Student Support Services program at Texas A&M |
|
|
University--Corpus Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Student Support Services is part of the university's |
|
|
Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which |
|
|
furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to |
|
|
low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students; in |
|
|
receiving an Outstanding Award, Ms. Ukegbu was recognized for her |
|
|
record of academic excellence; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Currently in her senior year at TAMU--Corpus |
|
|
Christi, Ms. Ukegbu is working toward a degree in health science; a |
|
|
native of Nigeria, she hopes to one day pursue a career with the |
|
|
United Nations global health division; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Nneka Ukegbu is indeed deserving of this prestigious |
|
|
honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with promise; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Nneka Ukegbu on her receipt of a |
|
|
Student Support Services Outstanding Award and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ukegbu as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
