H.R. No. 2289

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Kenneth Winn of Dallas has set an inspiring example
	of community engagement through his efforts to preserve the beauty
	of the city; and
	WHEREAS, A retired electrician, Mr. Winn has ventured out
	into his Pleasant Grove neighborhood in Southeast Dallas almost
	every day for more than a decade, collecting litter from the
	streets, removing unpermitted signs from public places, and
	maintaining dozens of trash barrels, which he has distributed
	throughout the area to encourage proper waste disposal; he has
	twice been recognized for his work by being named a finalist for a
	Green Source DFW Sustainable Leadership Award; and
	WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan also serves with his
	neighborhood crime watch program and the Dallas Police Department
	Volunteer in Patrol initiative, and he makes deliveries for Meals
	on Wheels; in all, he volunteers an estimated 250 hours each month;
	and
	WHEREAS, Kenneth Winn has demonstrated a deeply rooted
	commitment to maintaining the cleanliness of his neighborhood, and
	it is a privilege to pay tribute to him for his outstanding
	contributions in behalf of his fellow residents; now, therefore, be
	it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
	Legislature hereby commend Kenneth Winn for his community
	beautification efforts and extend to him sincere best wishes for
	the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. Winn as an expression of high regard by the Texas
	House of Representatives.
