R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Michelle McGaha has been presented with an |
|
Outstanding Award from the McNair Scholars Program at Texas A&M |
|
University--Corpus Christi; and |
|
WHEREAS, The McNair Scholars Program is part of the |
|
university's Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) |
|
initiative, which furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing |
|
resources to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented |
|
students; in receiving an Outstanding Award, Ms. McGaha was |
|
recognized for her record of academic excellence within the |
|
program; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Houston, Ms. McGaha is majoring in |
|
biomedical science, and she also serves as the events coordinator |
|
for the TAMU--CC SACNAS chapter; after graduating, she plans to |
|
continue her studies at the University of Nebraska Omaha and work |
|
toward a doctorate in clinical laboratory sciences; and |
|
WHEREAS, Michelle McGaha is indeed deserving of this |
|
prestigious honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with |
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Michelle McGaha on her receipt of a |
|
McNair Scholars Program Outstanding Award and extend to her sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. McGaha as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
