R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cara Campos has ably served her fellow Texans as an |
|
intern in the office of State Representative Joe Moody during the |
|
85th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Campos has provided |
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Julie and Steve Campos, Ms. Campos |
|
was born and raised in Austin and attended Baylor University, where |
|
she studied English; while an undergraduate student, she gave back |
|
to her community by tutoring student-athletes at Baylor and at-risk |
|
youth in the Waco community, an experience that inspired her to |
|
pursue a career as a public interest attorney; after receiving her |
|
bachelor's degree in 2016, she enrolled in The University of Texas |
|
School of Law; and |
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Cara Campos for her service as a |
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Joe Moody |
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Campos as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
