R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Josh Wallace of Lindsay High School achieved great |
|
|
distinction by winning the gold medal in the 2A boys' 300-meter |
|
|
hurdles event at the 2017 University Interscholastic League Track & |
|
|
Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 11-13, Mr. Wallace turned in |
|
|
a notable performance, recording a time of 38.47 seconds to claim |
|
|
first place in the event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Josh Wallace has ably |
|
|
represented his school, and he will cherish his memories of this |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Josh Wallace on his gold medal in |
|
|
the 2A boys' 300-meter hurdles event at the 2017 UIL Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Wallace as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
