R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Cheryl Hankamer has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
|
an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during |
|
|
the 85th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Hankamer has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
including researching legislation, conducting policy analysis, and |
|
|
meeting with constituents; in addition to gaining valuable |
|
|
experience in the field of public service, she has learned more |
|
|
about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the |
|
|
Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate student in the LBJ School of Public |
|
|
Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Hankamer holds |
|
|
bachelor's degrees in global studies and Spanish from the |
|
|
University of California; she has served as president and |
|
|
parliamentarian for the LBJ School Graduate Public Affairs Council, |
|
|
and she has previously worked as an office manager, intake |
|
|
coordinator, and Montessori teaching assistant; moreover, she |
|
|
completed an internship with Deloitte Consulting in Washington, |
|
|
D.C., and she has dedicated her time and talents to a number of |
|
|
worthwhile groups, including Caritas of Austin, Barbara Jordan |
|
|
Elementary School, and the Inside Books Project; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Cheryl Hankamer for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Hankamer as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
