R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Cheryl Hankamer has ably served her fellow Texans as
  an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during
  the 85th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Hankamer has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
  including researching legislation, conducting policy analysis, and
  meeting with constituents; in addition to gaining valuable
  experience in the field of public service, she has learned more
  about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the
  Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate student in the LBJ School of Public
  Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Hankamer holds
  bachelor's degrees in global studies and Spanish from the
  University of California; she has served as president and
  parliamentarian for the LBJ School Graduate Public Affairs Council,
  and she has previously worked as an office manager, intake
  coordinator, and Montessori teaching assistant; moreover, she
  completed an internship with Deloitte Consulting in Washington,
  D.C., and she has dedicated her time and talents to a number of
  worthwhile groups, including Caritas of Austin, Barbara Jordan
  Elementary School, and the Inside Books Project; and
         WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a
  legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Cheryl Hankamer for her service as a
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner
  and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
  her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Hankamer as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
