R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of Providence Baptist Church in Fort Worth |
|
|
are gathering together on July 9, 2017, to celebrate the |
|
|
installation of their new pastor, the Reverend Keith W. Foster Sr.; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Pastor Foster spent nearly three decades in the |
|
|
ministry before he was called to lead Providence Baptist Church; he |
|
|
began his work as an ordained deacon with Sweethome Missionary |
|
|
Baptist Church in Fort Worth in 1988, and he later moved to Greater |
|
|
Sweethome Missionary Baptist Church in Forest Hill, where he served |
|
|
as a youth pastor and as associate minister; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Pastor Foster is blessed with a fine family that |
|
|
includes his wife of 33 years, Angela, his three children, Keith, |
|
|
Angelo, and Maya, his daughter-in-law, Dior Chance Foster, |
|
|
and his |
|
|
two grandchildren, Jaylynn and Grayson; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The appointment of Pastor Foster marks the beginning |
|
|
of an important new chapter in the history of Providence Baptist |
|
|
Church, and members of the congregation may indeed look forward to |
|
|
deepening their faith and continuing their good works under his |
|
|
spiritual guidance; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Reverend Keith W. Foster Sr. on |
|
|
his installation as pastor of Providence Baptist Church and extend |
|
|
to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Pastor Foster as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
