R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal |
|
|
milestones, and the Senior Class of 2017 at the Americas High School |
|
|
Libertas Academy in El Paso is celebrating that joyful occasion at |
|
|
the conclusion of the current school year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In the course of their studies at the Libertas |
|
|
Academy, an advanced academic program offered by the Socorro |
|
|
Independent School District, these graduating seniors have |
|
|
completed specialized curricula focused on law, government, and |
|
|
public administration; in doing so, they also had the opportunity |
|
|
to develop leadership and public speaking skills and to earn |
|
|
college credit through advanced placement and dual credit courses; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although the members of the Class of 2017 will soon |
|
|
go their separate ways, the time that they have shared at the |
|
|
Libertas Academy has created a lasting bond, and the knowledge and |
|
|
experiences that they have gained there will forever enrich their |
|
|
lives; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await these |
|
|
outstanding young Texans, and it is a pleasure to join their |
|
|
families and friends in recognizing them as they embark on futures |
|
|
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Class of 2017 at |
|
|
the Americas High School Libertas Academy on the occasion of their |
|
|
graduation and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success and happiness. |
