R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal |
|
|
milestones, and Jesus Vasquez is celebrating that significant |
|
|
achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High |
|
|
School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Vasquez is among the students who have completed |
|
|
their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics |
|
|
Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law, |
|
|
government, and public administration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Virginia Vasquez and Jesus Vasquez, |
|
|
Mr. Vasquez distinguished himself as a gifted athlete during his |
|
|
high school career, excelling in football, track, and wrestling; |
|
|
the recipient of District 1-6A All-Academic honors, he helped lead |
|
|
the Trailblazers football team to consecutive bi-district |
|
|
championships; he was also an active member of DECA; after |
|
|
graduating, he plans to study criminal justice and play football at |
|
|
Sul Ross State University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join his family and |
|
|
friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jesus Vasquez on the occasion of |
|
|
his graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Vasquez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
