R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal |
|
|
milestones, and Cassandra Allen is celebrating that significant |
|
|
achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High |
|
|
School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Allen is among the students who have completed |
|
|
their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics |
|
|
Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law, |
|
|
government, and public administration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Cristina Allen and James Allen, |
|
|
Ms. Allen is graduating in the top 10 percent of her class; she is a |
|
|
member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of |
|
|
High School Scholars, and as a member of the varsity choir, she sat |
|
|
on the choir committee and earned recognition as best junior |
|
|
soprano; after graduation, she plans to pursue a double major in |
|
|
music and forensics at Sam Houston State University and eventually |
|
|
embark on a career as a medical examiner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and |
|
|
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cassandra Allen on the occasion of |
|
|
her graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Allen as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
