R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal
  milestones, and Samantha Muñoz is celebrating that significant
  achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High
  School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Muñoz is among the students who have completed
  their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics
  Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law,
  government, and public administration; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Yvette and Benjamin Muñoz, Ms. Muñoz
  has served as secretary and chair of the student council and held
  membership with the National Honor Society, the National Technical
  Honor Society, and DECA; she has also participated in Youth for
  Christ, theater, choir, and the debate, art, and yearbook clubs;
  she has further distinguished herself by placing first in the
  travel and tourism category at the district DECA competition and in
  the environmental category at the district science fair; after
  graduating, she plans to study digital communication at the college
  level in pursuit of a career as an animator or filmmaker; and
         WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
  outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
  friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
  promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Samantha Muñoz on the occasion of
  her graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Muñoz as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
