R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal |
|
|
milestones, and Lizbeth Tamara Rayas is celebrating that |
|
|
significant achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the |
|
|
Americas High School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Rayas is among the students who have completed |
|
|
their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics |
|
|
Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law, |
|
|
government, and public administration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Elizabeth Bonilla and Eduardo Angel |
|
|
Rayas Jr., Ms. Rayas holds membership with the National Technical |
|
|
Honor Society and the Mu Alpha Theta mathematics honor society, and |
|
|
she has also participated in University Interscholastic League |
|
|
state competitions as a member of the school band; after |
|
|
graduating, she plans to study mathematics at The University of |
|
|
Texas at Austin and to eventually pursue a career as a math teacher; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and |
|
|
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lizbeth Tamara Rayas on the |
|
|
occasion of her graduation from the Americas High School Libertas |
|
|
Academy and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Rayas as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
