R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Reuben Lewis is graduating as the salutatorian of |
|
|
the senior class of Veterans Memorial High School in 2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Mr. Lewis has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his attainment of |
|
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
|
high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Kayoko Lewis and Dante Lewis, Mr. Lewis |
|
|
plans to continue his education at The University of Texas at |
|
|
Austin, studying business; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Reuben Lewis has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and classmates, |
|
|
and his exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for |
|
|
this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Reuben Lewis, salutatorian of the |
|
|
Class of 2017 at Veterans Memorial High School, and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins the next |
|
|
exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Lewis as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
