R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The untimely death of Lisa Rachelle Freeman Anderson |
|
|
of San Marcos on February 25, 2017, at the age of 51, brought a great |
|
|
loss to her family and friends; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Jimmie Yancy Freeman and Edith Mae |
|
|
Adams Freeman, the former Lisa Freeman was born on March 11, 1965, |
|
|
in Anchorage, Alaska, where her father was serving in the U.S. Air |
|
|
Force; she met her future husband, Brete Anderson, while completing |
|
|
her bachelor's degree in sociology at Southwest Texas State |
|
|
University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Andersons became the proud parents of a |
|
|
daughter, Evalyn Rachelle Anderson, and Ms. Anderson found her true |
|
|
passion in raising her; she helped nurture her talents and took |
|
|
enormous delight in every one of her accomplishments, as she also |
|
|
did in encouraging her family members in their interests and |
|
|
pastimes; all the happy times they spent together, from listening |
|
|
to music to relaxing at the beach or along the San Marcos River, |
|
|
filled her with joy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, Ms. Anderson was a tremendous |
|
|
source of wisdom and support to her husband in his work for the |
|
|
Texas Legislature; even during her illness, she urged him to |
|
|
dedicate as much time as he could to his important endeavors in |
|
|
behalf of their fellow citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Lisa Anderson immeasurably enriched the lives of all |
|
|
who were fortunate enough to know her, and those she has left behind |
|
|
will forever treasure their memories of her quirky sense of humor, |
|
|
her kindness, and her boundless devotion to her family; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lisa Anderson and |
|
|
extend deepest sympathy to her loved ones; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lisa |
|
|
Rachelle Freeman Anderson. |
