R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Monte
  Moore of Lamesa, who passed away on April 8, 2016, at the age of 51;
  and
         WHEREAS, Monte Moore was born in Lamesa to Milton and Joan
  Moore on February 8, 1965; he was an accomplished athlete at Dawson
  High School, where he earned All-State honors as a member of the
  school's football team; after graduating, he became the third
  generation of his family to enter the water well drilling business,
  eventually owning and operating his own firm, Monte Moore Drilling;
  and
         WHEREAS, A man of faith, he attended First Baptist Church and
  was active in the La Mesa De Dios Emmaus community; in his free
  time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Moore enjoyed the love and support of his wife,
  Shelly, with whom he shared nearly a quarter century of marriage; he
  took great pride in his children, Megan and Tyler, and as his
  extended family grew, he delighted in the company of his
  grandchildren, Madden and Macall; and
         WHEREAS, Known for his kindness and generosity, Monte Moore
  enriched many lives during his journey on this earth, and he will be
  fondly remembered by all who had the great pleasure of sharing in
  his love and affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Monte Moore and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Shelly Moore; to his children, Megan Becker and her husband,
  Mason, and Tyler Moore; to his grandchildren, Madden and Macall
  Becker; to his mother, Joan Moore; to his brothers, Mike Moore and
  his wife, Christine, and Richard Moore and his wife, Elonna; and to
  his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, Than an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Monte
  Moore.
