R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Martha S. Gonzalez of Premont, who passed away on May 23, 2015,
  at the age of 72; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Manuel Saenz and Manuela Garcia
  Saenz, Martha Gonzalez was born on May 21, 1943, in Falfurrias and
  grew up in the company of her four siblings, Oscar, Johnny, Mary,
  and Mirta; she went on to enjoy a successful career with the Rio
  Grande Independent School District and retired after three decades
  as a kindergarten teacher; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Gonzalez shared a rewarding marriage with her
  husband, Hector Gonzalez; she was the proud mother of two children,
  Hector and Celina, and with the passing years, she was blessed with
  five grandchildren, Amanda, Andrea, Angela, Michael, and Marcus;
  and
         WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to her faith, her family, and her
  students, Martha Gonzalez brightened the world for all who knew
  her, and she will forever hold a special place in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Martha S. Gonzalez and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Hector Gonzalez; to her son, Hector Manuel Gonzalez, and
  his wife, Yolanda; to her daughter, Celina Mireles, and her
  husband, Melvin; to her brothers, Oscar Saenz and his wife, Maria
  Imelda, and Johnny Saenz and his wife, Guadalupe; to her sisters,
  Mary Garza and her husband, Sergio, and Mirta Martinez; to her
  grandchildren, Amanda Lee Gonzalez, Andrea Nicole Gonzalez, Angela
  Marie Gonzalez, Michael Christopher Mireles, and Marcus Anthony
  Mireles; to her nieces and nephews; and to her other relatives and
  many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Martha
  Gonzalez.
