R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt by
  the family, friends, and colleagues of Police Chief Steven "Eric"
  DiSario of Kirkersville, Ohio, who was killed in the line of duty on
  May 12, 2017, at the age of 38; and
         WHEREAS, Eric DiSario was born in Salem, Ohio, on February 2,
  1979, to Robin Walker and Thomas DiSario; he was educated in the
  Washington Court House City Schools and distinguished himself as an
  Eagle Scout in his youth; he later earned a bachelor's degree in
  business technical management from DeVry University; and
         WHEREAS, Prior to being appointed chief of the Kirkersville
  Police Department in 2017, this accomplished law enforcement
  professional had worked as a deputy marshal with the Brice Police
  Department and as an auxiliary officer with the Millersport Police
  Department and the Lithopolis Police Department; and
         WHEREAS, Chief DiSario shared a rewarding relationship with
  his wife, Aryn; he was the devoted father of five children, Olivia,
  Braydon, Grace, Chloe, and Kameron, and was awaiting the arrival of
  another daughter, Lilliana; a man of strong faith, he regularly
  attended services at St. Luke Lutheran Church with his family, and
  he was known for his ability to meet each day with a smile and for
  the joy and enthusiasm he brought to all his endeavors; and
         WHEREAS, Chief DiSario exemplified the highest ideals of
  public service, and although his death is a tragic loss to his
  family and community, his legacy will be a continuing source of
  inspiration to those who had the good fortune to know him; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Chief Steven "Eric"
  DiSario and extend heartfelt condolences to all who mourn his
  passing; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Chief Eric
  DiSario.
