R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mariadela Villegas has ably served her fellow Texans |
|
|
as a policy analyst in the office of State Representative Tomas |
|
|
Uresti during the 85th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Villegas has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
including conducting bill-related research and contributing to |
|
|
drafts for a range of bill topics; in addition to gaining valuable |
|
|
experience in the field of public service, she has learned more |
|
|
about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the |
|
|
Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Villegas is a senior at The University of Texas |
|
|
at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in government |
|
|
while minoring in Spanish and Arabic; a native of Mexico, she became |
|
|
a United States resident in 2014, and she aspires to a career in |
|
|
immigration law and hopes to one day serve in the Texas Legislature; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mariadela Villegas has performed her duties as a |
|
|
policy analyst with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Mariadela Villegas for her service as a |
|
|
policy analyst in the office of State Representative Tomas Uresti |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
|
her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Villegas as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
