R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Roxanne Soheyla Meraji has ably served her fellow |
|
Texans as an intern and policy analyst in the office of State |
|
Representative Tomas Uresti during the 85th Legislative Session; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Meraji has provided |
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Eagle Pass, Ms. Meraji attended The |
|
University of Texas at Austin on a full academic scholarship, and |
|
she graduated with a bachelor's degree in government and philosophy |
|
in May 2017; while completing her studies, she chaired the |
|
university's mock trial team and served as an officer in the Phi |
|
Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity; she plans to attend law school and |
|
to pursue a career as an attorney and judge; and |
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
duties as a legislative intern and policy analyst with skill and |
|
dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for |
|
her fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Roxanne Soheyla Meraji for her service |
|
as a legislative intern and policy analyst in the office of State |
|
Representative Tomas Uresti and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Meraji as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
